Notes

Super speedy knit! I read the pattern wrong (I was in a hurry) and cast on 27 stitches instead of 10, which obviously resulted in a much longer cuff around the top. I was a little annoyed about this, but as soon as I put them on I realized it was perfect for camping: folded down they are ideal fingerless mitts and folded up they are almost a full mitten, but still gave me the use of my fingers.

I will probably make a million pairs of these now.

One note: I used heavier yarn than noted in the pattern, but kept the needle the same size for a denser, warmer mitt. Next time, I would add a couple of garter ridges to the cuff (maybe 29) so I could pick up a few more stitches for the hand. I am also tempted to knit an identical pair, put then pick up stitches around the thumb and add a few garter ridges there too, since my thumbs got a little chilly.
