I made these for the mini Valentine’s Day swap over at Carol E. Herman Designs. I followed the pattern as written (mostly). I used slightly larger needles for the dk yarn. I added one or two rounds in the middle of each just to make them a smidge bigger. Also, I finished them via three needle bind off instead of Kitchener stitch.

Of note, I knit the larger one using magic loop. The pattern is perfect for it and it worked out really well.

See my previous Earbud Pouch for details on the three needle bind off. I will say it was much easier to do using magic loop as I could use the cable to keep from dropping stitches while turning it inside out. That will definitely be my method for these in the future!
