Check gauge! both a friend and I tried on the recommended needle size because we both usually knit roughly to gauge, but not this time! I’ve had to go up from 6mm to 8mm needles, and I’m NOT a tight knitter!

Two rows of tentacles seems a bit ‘stingy’, so have gone for 4.

12/2/13 Should’ve been less ambitious on the number of tentacles :-( Three rows would’ve done it. Not because it’s not cool with 4. Just… the project’s really dragging now. I just want to be finished!

Finally done! On advice, I tried hand felting to avoid over doing it in the machine, however this proved hard and sweaty work so resorted to machine for 10 mins. Then machine rinse and drip dry.
