27 June
Waiting for a sweater swatch to dry. Thought a pair of these would be a good time filler. (The green-blue pair for my aunt.)

Knit the second pair of slippers last night. Ran a bit short on yarn so I had to start the toe decreases two rounds early. (The red pair for my MIL.)

Waiting for yarn to arrive to finish my sweater. Thus another pair of slippers. This one took about 4 hours. I’m getting faster. (The teal pair for my mom…. and shortly after, the orange pair for the husband.)
22 Aug
Got the fifth pair done. (The navy pair (the color of which isn’t quite right in the picture - it’s a bit deeper in person) for my FIL).
One pair (the largest, for my dad) left to do.

The last pair of slippers is finished! YAY!
Now I just have to felt them, shave them, and put some sort of anti-slip bottom on. So much left to do even though the knitting is done!

Well, I got all of the slippers felted minus one. I did the husband’s separately since I needed to pay closer attention to them as they were knit with new-to-me yarn. And in the midst of the felting, the washer broke. Now it just hums.
On the plus side, I am getting a new washer dryer set delivered on Saturday. It’s the first time I will have owned a brand new washer or dryer and the first time I’ve had a matching set! Yay!

Everything is all felted and shaved now. I just need to get some liquid latex to put on the bottom of some to create a no slip bottom.

Muahahahahahahahahah! Finished! I used a can (well, half, technically) of black Plasti-dip and two little sponge brushes to put on the non-slip bottom. I did two coats and it is soft and flexible (you can’t even tell that there is anything on the bottom when your foot is in the slipper) and it completely stops sliding.
I have been working on these for months so I’m so glad to finally have them finished. I’m totally making the husband package these up when it is time to send them off. Cause I’m so done. But they are awesome!
