Making a hat to match my delightful and much loved Helen cowl (no relation). To match the cowl properly, I’ll be using lace weight yarn with US4 and will follow the directions for the 24” fingering weight hat (because that gives me the number of stitches I need to make the right sized hat based on my cowl’s gauge).

Okay, I’m stumped on how to do a 1/1 ribbing over an odd number of stitches in the round so I’m going to do 154 st and decrease 1 before the lace section. Doing a tubular CO.

Day one was the ribbing, day two has been about 4” of lace. Hopefully this should be done before the end of the year.

A nice, easy pattern that results in a great little hat! Now I have to block it. I’m going to flat block it since I have no balloon.
