I have a ton of sock yarn scraps, to the point that my scrap bin is getting full. So I’m going to attempt this pattern holding 6 strands of self-striping yarn together. The result will hopefully be some awesome, squishy slippers and significantly less scrap yarn yardage.

Switched to 5 strands held together for the top. These are going to be quite colorful.

Lace bid off, done tightly in purl.

I don’t believe in “light blocking”. I always wash things after I’m done - gotta get all the candy and cat off of them. So I gave these a good soaking and stuffed them with plastic bags to keep their shape while they dry.

All dry! The bottoms are delightfully squishy and soft but I’m not sure how I feel about these. The sides are fairly floppy and bulge out when I walk which looks unattractive but isn’t uncomfortable. I do think I wish they were a little longer so my toes wouldn’t poke them out. Positive ease all around, please! They also didn’t eat as much yarn as I thought. All that being said, I look forward to giving them a shot to see if they keep my feet toasty!
