using #10 needles I ended up with 18 sts x 24 rows = 4 inches, which is the exact opposite of what the pattern gauge calls for (24 sts x 18 rows) but that just means I’ll end up with a bigger shawl (though it may be a bit squat), and I have over twice the yardage called for, so I should be free to fudge the gauge as much as needed.

The two skeins don’t match exactly - one has some cool red splotches and the other doesn’t - so I’m switching skeins for each section. I’m starting and ending with the red splotched skein because I like it more.

On the k2tog row I’m finding myself kind of wishing I had a stiletto point on the needle instead of middy…they’re kind of hard to work. On the regular knit stitches the middy is perfect, a stiletto would probably just split the yarn.
