Using thinner yarn than the pattern calls for & smaller needles to get a nice fabric (yarn states DK but works up more like a fingering weight) so…

Cast on 96 (original 80 plus 16 for another pattern repeat)
Continued pattern as written.

For a slouch hat I would add another 8 or 16 rounds before starting the decreases.

After knitting several items… I’m learning that this yarn grows a bit when washed, for this pattern it turned out ok. But in the future I’ll have to go down in size to allow for the growth. Machine wash & dry to make the yarn bloom… soft, swishy & oh so warm.
