Hook: Hamanaka 6/0
Yarn: mystery yellow acrylic

I used a size E hook because it was what I had in my bag, but this might have been easier with an F.

Left a one yard tail for the stigma (the thing in the middle of the corona) and sewing the petals on.
Started with a magic ring instead of ch 12.

Stigma:
Pull magic ring closed. Used a needle to insert tail under yarn and pull up a loop. Ch 4, sl st in 2nd chain from hook, sl st 2. Turned corona (the bell-like part) inside out because I thought the right side looked better.

Each petal needs around 5 yards.

By the 2nd pin, I’d inspected a live daffodil and realized the petal joining in triangular formation is accurate. I did the first pin with petals in pairs like this one. By the 2nd I decided I should try doing the petals in 3s. Left a 10 yard tail, made the first petal, went back and started the 2nd petal, then had to fiddle to make the 3rd and do all the borders. It was complicated.
