Wool Eater #2

Yarn is a little stiff for pattern. Loops and Threads Impeccable has been the easiest so far.

Was annoying to cut blue at the end of every 2 rounds, but couldn’t figure out any way to carry the yarn that wouldn’t add a lot of extra bulk.

When working the Wool Eater in a solid color, it’s hard to remember NOT to cut the yarn at the end of a rnd 1. I did it more than once. Started attaching a note with a stitch marker that says “DO NOT CUT”. :)

Pattern changes for worsted
Rnds 1 & 3: Ch 3 instead of 5 for first tr of each cluster. Ch 4 instead of 5 after each cluster.

Rnd 2: Ch 1 instead of 2 before and after each tr shell.

Tips

  • First ch after corner cluster is made should be loose to accommodate 12 tr on next rnd.
  • Sl st loosely.
  • Always count shells (8 tr) & wheels (12 tr) before moving on. Double check at the end of the round.
  • Sew ends in as you go.
  • Take frequent breaks and stretch.
