Made in honor of Marc Fucarile.

Zigzags reminded me of switchback trails. Seemed like an appropriate scarf for a runner!

Hook: Boye

Was about 8” wide with size I hook which was too wide.
Double tr seemed too floppy.
Switched to size J hook, modified pattern to be closer to 6” wide. Got rid of double tr.

With Blue, ch 21
1: Sc in first ch from hook and every sc across (20 sc)
2: Switch to yellow, ch 5 (for first tr & ch1-sp), sk sc, tr in next, ch 1, dc, ch 1 twice, sc, switch to blue & sc in last 7 sts, ch, turn
3: 20 sc in each st and ch-1 sp, ch 1, turn.
4: sc in back lps only.

Repeat rows 2-4 until desired length. Finish with rows 2-3.

Used size K hook to sl st in top of final row to match the foundation chs.

Sooo many ends to sew in when using 2 colors. Not sure I would make this again with multiple colors. Probably much easier with a self-striping yarn.

5/12/14: I heard from my scarf recipient, Dave!! He returned to Boston with his running club, Run Your Potential.
