11shawls2011 #1

I love the way my Luna Bella turned out with the open sts lace pattern. I feel this type of pattern works well for multicolored yarns, such as sock yarns. So, it is great for people who do not like to knit socks, but love yarns that are made for this purpose :-))). This NG pattern has the similar open sts. lace and I love the colors of the Juno Fibre Arsts yarn and hope to achieve that same feeling I like so much in my Luna Bella :-))
I only have 1 skein of yarn, so I CO 58 sts for a smaller scarf.
To memorize the pattern row order I just thought of it in the algorithm made up of 6 fragments that can be written down as 3-2-1, 3-2-1 and at the same time they go in A(B)-C(D) sequence.

02.17.11 BO with US9. After the blocking the yarn just bloomed. I was not sure how the Tencel in the yarn would behave after blocking, but it worked wonderful :-)) Now the shawl is bigger then expected for this little yarn. I am very happy with the way open lace pattern looks knitted with this yarn. Love my new shawl/scarf/stole :-))

More on my blog.

11.09.11 I am doing “Wear a Shawl Challenge” on my Blog and took some new pictures of my shawl for that purpose.
