Used size 8 needles around the neck as I want a very big opening. This is for a 2 yr old and he has a rather cute but large head.

Obviously, I made a few (ahem) changes:

Pockets: I did not follow the directions for the pockets. I made note of where the pockets should go and picked up the right leg of each stitch where I wanted the bottom of the pockets to go. Using ST st, I knit up the pockets picking up a st from the body at the beginning and end of each row. The pockets still needed reinforcement so I basted in the contrasting blue color.

As you can see, I did not do the undershirt part but just added two rows of each color at the end of the body & sleeves. I included red because why not?
