Notes

I am so excited to be hosting my first MKAL! I really am hoping for a lot of participation, because it will be so much more fun with a load of different people putting their own colors to this fun shawl!

I took dd and her friend to the carnival recently…they went on the Tilt-O-Whirl….The man told them to stop leaning. Um…hello…you are SUPPOSED to lean and tilt on it!! Or it would be the Whirl O Whirl! Worst carny ever. haha!

random notes below:

Not sure what I am doing with this one….Maybe a MKAL….Maybe not. So far I’m excited…Although there has been a LOT of ripping and screaming in this sucker. I’m sticking through-I’m determined to see it to the end-even if I’m driving myself batty using techniques and a style I’ve never even used before! ughh!!

7-11-15: I’m really thinking this would be a fun MKAL. For those that like color and surprises….kind of like a big giant party for your needles. :) I am loving this thing. I just have one problem. Ok, two problems. One-I am working on another project at the same time as a request from my step sister which is really cool and will need to be a pattern…everyone will want one..well, everyone that is really whacked out will anyhow. And the other project is for my neighbor who wants me to make a baby hat for a family member. EEK! THREE PROJECTS at once may kill me. PLUS I still have my On the Shore on hold due to my mom!! UGHH!

This is the first time I have ever wound my own yarn. I would love to say I did an awesome job, but alas, my swift was sassy and I wound it too tight to be able to use the center of the skein. Live and learn. My daughter had a grand old time watching me try to figure out the swift though-I was very confused-there were wires everywhere and I put it on the swift wrong at first which required me to stand like the Statue of Liberty to get the yarn to come off.

Ok, so, I have managed to get this knitted all the way to where I shall begin the edge. I am so so SO excited. The colors are so much fun! I would LOVE love to have a MKAL with this pattern, my only fear is that I’ll be the only one knitting along! OY! First things first though, I have to get this finished so I can start having testers work on it!! :) No way am I having a MKAL without it being tested.

7-18-15: So, I am still plugging away at the edge…I LOVE this thing. It was really fun to make as well, always something new popping up-just how I like it. :)

Last photo is before blocking…I am so happy to finally be able to show off this finished shawl. I had so much fun designing this one and loved how it turned out but knew it had to be an MKAL so I had to keep it a secret…I’m STINKY at secrets…I can keep them, but I sure don’t like it! hahaha!
