Notes

I should have this up for testing sometime this week. My notes regarding this are below:

I figured I’d try my hand at creating a lace pattern. EEK!

I wanted something that really brings ‘dragonbird’ to life. Part dragon…part bird…
2-16-15: Ok, after starting and restarting THREE times, I made it through a really large portion…And then I purchased Stitch Mastery. I played around with it for a bit and I’ve decided that I am going to RESTART yet AGAIN with just the tiniest bit of an alteration to the lace pattern. I figure heck…If I’m going to name something after myself it better represent me in the best way possible, right? I’m trying to ignore the hours and hours I’ve wasted….and keeping the eye on the prize…

2-19-15: And now I am on my FIFTH and hopefully final restart. I am changing yarns. I’m going for a color that is my favorite word to say in Spanish. Anaranjado…pronounced AH-NAh-don-HA-dough! So fun to say! This yarn that I have chosen is a dream. I used a different colorway for my Besa Me Mesa project and I loved it….This orange colorway is totally not me…I don’t normally like orange…BUT this orange is amazing. It is like FIRE. So, this is giving me the feel of a dragonbird of flames…almost like phoenix. I am really loving it with this pattern, and I am REALLY loving the software. It has made beautiful charts and the written portion is really nice and clean.

later that day…I am really pleased with the progress. I’ve made it through the body and am very very happy with yarn, pattern and gauge. Huston? I think we have a winner! :) I’m running into issues though, with the written instruction for the bottom….I’m going to have to do it all manually as the program went a little nutzo.

Ok…after all that losing my mind and changing things up over and over, I am very VERY happy with it all. I’m halfway through the ending lace pattern and I love it. I am so excited to get this tested!

All blocked and dry and I’m happy with it…Except on the parts that I apparently made an error on and I didn’t realize until I blocked it. How on EARTH did that happen? uggh.
