For ribbing: (ktbl, p1)

Decided to go with this yarn as I know myself and my gauge is always bigger and my head is always smaller…I’m keeping my tension very tight as I know casting on 100 stitches will give me a very large hat if I am not extremely careful.

I planned on doing cable needless cables with this hat..but decided that it was easier to just use the cable needle. At least this hat doesn’t’ require the cable needle every other round like the last hat I made! phew!

Ok, just finished it up…and everything was spot on perfect until the ‘final honeycomb decrease rounds.’ Then it all went to hell in a handbasket for me. I have no idea if I did something wrong or what because I no longer matched the pattern. I fudged everything from then on but LOVE this pattern oh so much! Great hat, great pattern (up till that point haha!) I’m going to think perhaps it was just me as I don’t see anyone else mentioning it-I’ve been known to screw up….
