Notes

Wow wow wow. Love the sidestream pattern. It just looks so cool on the foot.

Used size 1 DPN needles - the 2.25mm kind from the toe to 5 inches up the leg from the bottom of the heel. I redid the heel a few times. I tried a plain heel to the heel turn and then eye of partridge, but for the second time my eye of partridge totally failed. It just looked incomplete - like I wasn’t doing it except for here and there - so I went back to the sl1 k1 heel stitch and it looks great.

It was interesting to try knitting on DPNs again. Toe up DPN socks are not my favorite, I had to switch to my circular size just to try the thing on.

The colors are pooling a little at the 64 stitch parts of the sock (the foot after the toe increases and the leg after the completion of the heel). Not my favorite.

Lessons Learned

  • I prefer for magic loop for toe up socks and portability to DPNs.
  • Bordhi’s whirlpool toe.
