Notes

It is the helical stripe, except that two of the stripes are the same color.

When I switch colors, I’m finding I should not pull on the last stitch too hard, otherwise it makes the last stitch in the previous row’s stripe disappear (and gives me back a jog that I don’t want)!

I like the pattern, am not thrilled with the colors in the self-striping yarn, but then I didn’t like them in the original pair of socks from which this yarn is leftover (and the recipient did).

construction details:

garter toe (in MC - fedora)
reinforced heel (in MC)
continue in helical stripe until CC (Rainforest) is finished, start rib (switch to size 1 needled for ribbing), finish with Jeny’s super stretchy cast-off
