I cast on less than the pattern said, i’m not exactly sure why now, thinking back! I had to block it pretty aggressively to stretch it out a bit although what i liked in the first place was the swooshyness of the fabric that the pattern created rather than the typical ‘holey’ lace so I’ve lost a bit of that.

Rows were taking me ages even with less than 300 stitches which was annoying, but it’s a nice simple pattern (i did omit some details on the middle of the lace section because i wanted it to look simpler) and the short row crescent just zipped along. I did a an i-cord cast off which was a bit tedious, but i think it gives a lovely edge that still rolls a smidge but is way better than the other cast off i normally use.

I need to get working on a shawl pin to hold it together now… :D

The name: from my love of lindt dark chocolate and a song by Deacon Blue (one of the best things to come out of scotland in the 80s!)
