Notes

April the 3rd, 2011: Working hard to re-invent this shawl and writing the pattern. I have found a nice cotton-linen blend, and will knit it also in cashmere-bling. I am eager to see the result and improve the transition between pattern1 and pattern2. I already have found a perfect way to begin the shawl. Very satisfying.
Also I saw the original shawl today. Barbara is wearing it constantly and loves it. It makes me happy.

At first it was knit for my sister, who is allergic to wool. But while I knit in front of her, once again she laughed upon my knitting. So I gave her a (lovely) bought shawl and offered this unique creation to a friend who appreciates handknit. She loves it! :D

ETA: Please do not trash my sister. I love her even if she jokes sometimes too heavily on my passions sometimes. I had fallen for a fairtrade silk shawl absolutely perfect for her just before Christmas… I am pretty sure whe would have love the shawl. But I simply knew that Barbara was going to adore it - she does! And it was her 40th birthday. :)

I cannot believe I did not take notes. The dates here are probably off, I don’t know which needles I used and I must look for the yarn band… But this shawl is one of my proudest creation.
