(in no particular order): Figure skating team final, Women’s Giant Slalom final, Women’s cross country 10m, 2/3 of Norway vs. Sweden 1st hockey game, Figure Skating pairs free skate, mixed doubles curling (think it was Canada vs Sweden), Women’s biathalon, Men’s cross country 15m, men’s big air, team ski jump, ladie’s figure skating short program.
did NOT finish by the end of the Rav Games. :( I knit so much whilst watching - I absolutely was gonna finish- but hands swelled and were very sore, so I thought it would be better to stop for a week or so…..
Modifications
TTAT toe up. 68 sts for toes.To use the included reinforcement thread,I had to make each toe separately then add both to the same needle. For next pair I think I want to try the anatomically correct toes. 3by1 ribbing on the soles.
~~~~~~~
Fish Lips Kiss Heel - again using reinforcement thread. Did one repeat on the front side of socks, then did pattern all the way around (not quite 1” of stockinette above heel……). Put and extra stitch between pattern repeats except the front 2 repeats.
~~~~~~~
After doing 4 or 5 repeats after the heel, I started adding on to the center back extra stitch between repeats (mostly YOs) so that over 8 - 10 rows, I added enough sts for an additional pattern repeat. Good for my hefty calves. :)
~~~~~~~
Also, Instead of doing this for the 3rd row of lace pattern (K8, K1 tbl, K7), I knit all the sts. Then on Row 4 I knit into the YO st twice. I think it looks better.
Finished the socks with 6 or 7 rows of 1x1 rib. My stretchy bind off mod: Based on Jen’s Stretchy Bind off. I knit the knits and purl the purls throughout the bind off, but I only do the yarn over on the knit stitches, not the purls. This gives me my own preferred stretchiness for sock tops.
I just love knitting No-Purl Monkey socks. They nearly knit themselves. I will miss knitting these.
