My yarn was more of a DK weight so I modified the pattern a bit.

CO 14 sts (probably would have done 12 to fit in with the pattern but I have long fingers). Knit 31 garter ridges.

Picked up 33 stitches, then on the next round CO 9 sts for the thumb (if I were doing making this for someone else I would have CO 10-11 sts but I have small thumbs). Continued, decreasing the thumbs sts as called for.

I knit these a little longer than the pattern called for, then added 1 1/2” of ribbing because I shudder at the thought of rolled stockinette edges.
