Notes

Using general DK from stash - shades of blue.

At the moment, it comes down to just beneath my elbows. It’s … quite large. I’m using knit pro interchangables, and I have joined together two 120CM cables for this - and still can’t spread the shawl out over them.

The shawl has odd blue trapizoids in it (may end up looking like triangles…). I started using a darker blue around the increase sections, but didn’t think it through - for some reaon, I think I expected them to grow out to the corners but of course they did nothing of the kind.

Then I thought I’d just go straight to the dark blue from that point, across all of the shawl - but it wasn’t long enough to do that when I got to the point of being entirely fed up of the intarsia fiddling about.

The thing is, this is a rather addictive knit. I can see trying to combine this with feather and fan at some point - or better yet, seeing if someone else has done that! It should be fairly simple, as long as you remember that there will be more stitches before pattern sections each time. I could chart it out but I suspect that if I do it, it’ll be pretty much free hand, trial and error - so what else is new?

UPDATE

I finished it with three repeats of feather and fan - that worked.
