after the assassination of emperor uriel septim vii by the mythic dawn (the event that kicks off the elder scrolls iv: oblivion), strange gates leading to the deadlands - the realm of oblivion belonging to mehrunes dagon - opened up across tamriel. devastation was widespread until the sacrifice of martin septim, uriel septim vii’s illegitimate son, effectively shattering the amulet of kings (a symbol of the covenant with akatosh) and ending the septim bloodline in one go, to effectively cast mehrunes dagon back into oblivion.

these are going to be so damn ugly. i love them already.

honestly, i’m not gonna lie. sock-ease is unpleasant as fuck to knit with. it’s not bad once you wash and block it? but it’s so rough to knit with. i realize i’m spoiled? but.

either way, i’m so glad these are done. i never reknit sock patterns (vanilla doesn’t count), so i don’t know what possessed me to do it for these but hey. one pair done and dusted.
