My 2014 Souper Bowl Raffle Project ~ Using up some of my remnants!

The Main Color is one of BMFA’s Spirit Colorways, just barely blue. I had thought I would use it for socks but decided it was actually too pale for what I wanted. Seems to be perfect for this project.

I’m repeating the colors but with a slight twist. This sequence is what I will repeat:

Ended up with 24 “leaves.” I would have kept going but my main color was all used up… Used JSSBO, knit sts only.

The way this is working up with the primary hues, reminds me a bit of those classic, wool Hudson Bay blankets…

Rather than weaving in all those ends, I decided to turn them into beaded fringe. Wooden beads of two sizes: 8 mm rondelles and 4 to 5 mm barrel beads in the primary colors found in the shawl. I tied a knot in the yarn to secure the beads on each strand and used some Fray Check to keep the knots tied. The wooden beads will require the shawl to be hand washed.
