My 10th shawl in 2010.

It is a beautiful pattern and very much worth the time I spent knitting it.

However, I found parts of the pattern slightly unclear or overly complicated:

• Stitch count: you add up ALL the
  stitches including the edge stitches
  and centre stitches.
• Certain wrong-side rows has you purling for eons and adding in a single knit stitch ever so often. I happily ignored this and purled across.
• I only did the knit/purl wrong-side rows when in the midst of the actual “dew drops” themselves I also happily substituted the numerous decreases with just three decreases (k2tog, k2togtbl and sk2p - and their purl equivalents) because I’m lazy and not too precious.

The shawl is huge: 2.2m across and 80cm down. I’m pondering whether to gift it to my mother for her 50th birthday.

Named for a promontory just south of where the yarn company resides.
