• 10.02.08: Making my way up the cuff with 2 pattern repeats complete & will probably complete another 3 (at least 2 more, anyway) before bind off. {The instep had 4 pattern repeats}.

• 09.24.08: I really like the look of this pattern, although the yarn is not the greatest . It’s 100% cotton so no stretch. It makes working with cables not fun. But, the pattern is too pretty to give up! And, it’s for a friend and it’s her yarn so……

• Cast on 09.22.08: using Judy’s Magic CO - well, one sock was w/ that. The other one was w/ the figure 8 CO as the Magic CO did not work the 2nd time around. It was my 1st time using the Magic CO & I still don’t quite get it. (This is only my 2nd pair of toe-up socks, as well - I think). I may try searching YouTube to see if there is a visual of the Magic CO. Maybe I’ll get it then.

• As usual, I am knitting 2 socks at once, using the magic loop - Knitpicks Harmony needles!!!!!

• This sock is for my friend, Karen. It’s actually the first time that I have knit socks for anyone other than myself. I hope I can get them to fit her. She provided me with her measurements, so I’ll keep my toes crossed! She also provided me with the yarn. She bought the yarn about a year ago and it was at that time that I had taught her to knit socks, but - well, the yarn still sits. She asked me last week if I would take the yarn & knit her the socks so that’s what I am doing. Actually, I’m glad. It’s been sooooo long since I’ve knit a pair & it feels sooooo good to be finally knitting socks again.
