I had difficulty sizing this one down. I wanted to make boots to go with the Baby Link outfit that I made for Forrest and Caitlin, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the ones in the pattern. Or rather, I saw Angela making a pair of these and wanted to make a pair as well.

I cut the number of stitches I cast on in half, but then I followed the rest of the instructions re: number of rows for pattern. Of course, the purl stitches over the toe were a different number as well…I’m pretty sure I cut those in half too. I think they turned out a bit big, since this is for someone in the 6-month range, but ah well…they’re really really cute anyway and I’m guessing they’ll put socks on under the booties. I would TOTALLY make these again, particularly in fingering weight yarn on a smaller gauge. The pattern was just a bit tricky to read, since it wasn’t originally written in English, but it was definitely do-able.
