Notes

My sister gave me some yarn for Christmas to start a Sky Scarf so I am beginning on January 1, 2013.

Yep, January 4 and I already had to add a brown because of the stupid Salt Lake inversion. For 2 weeks in January we have the worst air in the nation.

Feb 2: From Phil’s shadow to God’s ear, spring better come early. January has always been my least favorite month but this month has been particularly trying. As you can see there are large swaths of brown in my January section so far. The inversion has been so bad this year that it has even affected me, and the inversion never seems to bother me much. So here’s to the end of January and a new month that is like a fresh start on the world, and much more blue in my scarf.

April 2: April has started off stormy. I might have several rows of gray this month.

August 1: July was stormier than I expected.

October 23: Saint Luke’s summer — n
a period of unusually warm weather in the autumn. Referring to St Luke’s feast-day, Oct 18.

December 31: Finally done. I am glad I did this project because it made me knit every day. And it is fun to see the sky throughout the year. But I am glad it is only a year because it was getting old near the end.

All in all, a fun project that has impressed all my friends.
