This hat didn’t come out as slouchy as I’d envisioned. It kinda sticks straight out the back, unless I fiddle with it and push it down. This is probably due to the bulkiness of the yarn and the tightness of my stitching. The resulting fabric is not at all fluid.

Additionally, the pattern calls for 5 repeats of the 10-row cable design, but my fabric grew at a rate that made it only necessary to do 3.

I do like this hat, and I plan to wear it all winter, but it’s not quite what I expected. Next winter, I am considering trying again with the Berocco Vintage DK they used in the sample.
