I prefer to not mix different weights of yarn within a ripple. Since I happen to have quite a bit of Caron One Pound in my charity stash right now, or at least what I think is Caron One Pound – so many partial skeins arrive with no label – I decided to design a couple of ripples made of One Pound alone:

’Claret’, what I think is probably ‘Deep Violet’, and a light dusty rose that’s so old though, unraveled from this thrift shop sweater, I didn’t find a similar colored One Pound for sale anywhere online.

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of double crochet stitches to ten stitches.
