Wow - this project was hibernating for ages. For some reason I was terrified of the whole concept of steeking & the crochet edging just never looked even enough & the colourwork yoke always looked slightly puckered.

After 2 years(!) I finally just picked up a pair of shears & cut. Happily the crochet edging & puckered colourwork both evened out after washing & blocking.

My only regret is that I wish I chose a darker colour ribbon for the front edges.

April 16, 2017 - life is too short for regrets, so I replaced the too pale ribbon & reconfigured my buttons & replaced them with dark purple ones.
