3/31/13: DONE and photographed! OK, I haven’t actually blocked it again, but whatever… LOVE it. Fits perfectly.
There are a few errors in mine that caused me to run over in yardage—I accidentally used the eyelet cables on the whole front, when the top should have been regular ribbing, and there is a place where they are doubled. But I’m OK with that.
The buttons are from La Casita in Brooklyn, they’re vintage and go perfectly with the yarn.
9/4/12: Finally got around to trying it on—it fits! Phew! Now I just need to cast off the edging and knit the sleeves… if I have enough yarn, that is. I made need to make cap sleeves.
6/17/12: Ready to block the back--it looks SOOO tiny, but I am trusting in the expanding powers of lace.
4/21/12: For the first time ever, I actually knit a proper stockinette swatch (as in, a full 4-inch swatch w/ garter border) and I’m even going to wash it and block it like a proper knitter and make the lace swatch too. I started to knit with size 5s but it was way off, so I switched to 6s. This yarn is soft as a cloud!
4/11/2012: Finally found yarn in a color I loved that wasn’t superwash! AND it’s organic.
