Easy pattern to get the rhythm of; however, note that there are mistakes in the Berroco printed version. So far,
Pattern Notes:
- W&T instructions are incorrect. You don’t need to pick up the wrap with the knitted pass as it’s garter stitch.
- W&T should be: Slip next stitch, bring yarn to front, move slipped stich back to left needle; turn. You want the yarn to stay in front as you’re knitting the first stitch on the next row.
- Row 3 of set-up row should be kfb, k1, p1 and mark st with removable maker, k2, kfb. Center stitch on WS is always purled.
- I’m carrying the yarns up the side, although I’m not crazy about the effect. Will weave the ends in as I knit if I make this again.

Still need to weave in the ends and wash and block, but this is done. It’s a weird shape for sure.
Didn’t use the full skein of either yarn. Estimate total yardage at 508 yds.

Washed and block. Leaf/Feather shape quite evident but shape is very odd!! I’m not quite sure how to wear this, but I posted several shots posed on the mannequin to get a few ideas.
Must say that I’m not particularly impressed with how the wool washed. Followed my usual method in the machine on gentle with Soak. Might be too rough for this wool, which is a shame given how expensive it was. Still soft and supple, but a bit rubbed looking, now.
Final dimensions: 50” long x 21” wide

Gifted this beauty, along with a gorgeous wire shawl pin, to my future sister-in-law for Christmas. Suits her to a “T”…am tempted to make another after seeing her wearing this one. Very pleased. :)
