Notes

Decided to knit the medium size to use up both skeins. Found perfect matching purple beads for the edging.
Opulence is stunning and a joy to knit with. it’s sleek, shiny and sturdy, but I’m a little sad that i found 6 Russian Joins in my 2 skeins, 4 were neat, the other 2 were messy and had to be redone.

I originally asked Kim to throw in more lilac spots in the colorway to make it less of a semi solid and while it wasn’t that visible in the skein, you can definitely see it knitted up and I love it. Gives it a nice heathery look. Would consider buying again despite my experience, maybe it was just a random problem?

Medium Size.
Chart 1 - 3x.
Chart 2 - Rows 1-16, afraid of running out of yarn that I didn’t do the last 8 rows.
Chart 3 - 1x, and then repeated rows 15 & 16 again.
Had only a tiny ball of yarn left!

Here’s how I did the beading:
Starting with row 5 of Chart 3, Edging, I placed a bead on only the knit stitch between 2 YOs.
From row 7 on it was much easier as the intervals were more regular:
K3, yo, k, yo, beaded knit, yo, k2, sl-k2tog-psso, k2, yo, beaded knit, k3, yo

I also did my usual Shawl Bind-off:
K1, (k1, transfer 2 sts back to left needle and k2tog through the back loops)

Pinned to 65” x 34”
