Making this for mum’s birthday. I don’t think I’ll have time to knit it and post it before her actual birthday but I’ll try my best.

18/10: Cast on 56 sts with 2.75mm needle, then increased to 64 sts where indicated in the pattern, but stayed with 2.75mm needles.
Almost finished the bubbly-bee bands on the first sock and all I can say is: So. Much. Fun!

24/10: All done! Much later than I’d hoped but such is life with small children, you don’t always get much knitting time. I ADORE the finished result. These were seriously lots of fun to make and the finished result is awesome. It’s a wildly under-rated pattern in my mind (It’s been available since 2007 and only has 14 projects, what’s with that???). I wouldn’t recommend it to a complete sock knitting beginner but if you’ve made socks before, the pattern is fantastic. Well written and with tips on how to customize it to fit.
I’ll post these to my mum on Monday, I can’t wait for her to get them :)

Notes:

• 18 repeats of heel flap pattern
• 19 sts picked-up each side for gusset
• gusset decreases until there are 28sts left on each needle
