It is a 2ply but it’s not laceweight it’s more like 4ply weight. Been eyeing this top up since it came out but just couldn’t decide which colour to do it in. After i saw the very alpaca in a field between Earith & Fibre East i couldn’t not buy the kit.

40+cm of ribbing in the roud on 3mm needles (i.e. MANY stitches) is a little tedious and may lead to your knitting being put down and ignored for long periods of time in favour of smaller, faster projects. Persevere! Have managed to go from 2 to 15cm today with some mindless tv knitting. Can imagine oncce i get beyond the rib this top will fly by.

Got bored whilst knitting this but once i got it onto the mannequin i remembered why i loved it so much to start with. Worked an extra repeat of the top pattern (smallest size) and used all but 15g of the 8balls or yarn.

After all the effort i ended up giving this to my SIL who LOVES it, so prob worth it.
