• used a size 8 for a tight cast on + first two rows, will use it for the end bind off
• 10s for smaller needle, 10.5s for larger
• gauge got tighter when on dpns, might be a good idea to size up to 11s for knitting in the round next time
• skipped the shaping decreases on the sleeves
• ended up with just over 8” sleeves, in case of growth or skinny toddlerdom

conclusion:

• next time I need to be more careful with the buttonband.
• sleeves need more concentration than the body
• no garter stitch edging, I am terrible at it.
