Notes

I wanted to make an especially warm hat for my sister for deer season, so I did a stocking cap in 2 x 2 ribbing with a fold-up cuff. I cast on 120 stitches and worked 10 inches of 2 x 2 ribbing. I did the crown decreases as follows:
First round of decreases:
k2, p2tog (repeat across)

Work in k2, p1 ribbing for an inch

Second round of decreases:
k2tog, p1 (repeat across)

Work in k1, p1 ribbing for an inch

Third round of decreases:
K2tog (repeat across)

Knit 1 round plain

Fourth round of decreases:
K2tog (repeat across)

Fifth round of decreases:
K2tog (repeat across)

Cut the working yarn, weave the tail through the live stitches twice, remove stitches from needles, pull working yarn to close the circle, fasten off and weave in loose ends.
