Notes

I’d been wanting to knit this scarf in FSM since the pattern was first released in Knitty. I waited for the right skein for almost 18 months. I cast on within a week of getting it. The color is a lovely slate grey-blue with a tinge of green.

I can’t say enough about how much I love this. The silk/merino yarn, the amazing dye job, the lace pattern, the way it knit up. I think I will live in this winter.

This was my go-to knitting for a small, easily transportable, easy-to-knit project.

SnobDiet Progress:
cast on 8/3/09
Aug weeks 1&2: 35g, 130 yards
Aug weeks 3&4: 13g, 48 yards
Sept week 1: 20g, 74 yards
Sept week 2: 32g, 118 yards
Sept week 3: 16g, 80 yards
Sept week 4 + Oct week 1: 29 g, 107 yards

Still needs to be blocked. {Much later - wearing it without blocking and that seems just find.}

Mods: started with one row of the WS to set a base from which to begin all the yarnovers. Used the sewn stitch bind-off per Veronik Avery’s recommendation.
