Altering the charts for a 52 stitch circumference (identical stitch counts as Dad’s Hickory Socks II) from the toe up. On one long circ, CO 12 sts each needle with Judy’s Magic, increase to 26 sts each needle with (K1, M1, K to one from end, M1, K1) on each needle every even numbered round, ending with an increase round.

Begin altered chart pattern over instep, 35 rounds for foot, 20 rounds for gusset using (kfb, k to one from end, kfb, k1) over sole stitches. Short row heel turn, heel flap in sl1 k1 heel stitch over 25 stitches, “no hole heel turn” on last row.
