I asked Alixe what she wanted for her birthday and she said a pink sweater with short sleeves. It’s very hot in her classroom and she doesn’t like wearing long sleeve sweaters but she loves wearing my handknits to school. She told me if I knit it with short sleeves she woudn’t take it off! :)

She picked out the buttons with a special Hello Kitty button as you can see.

For the button band, I picked up stitches every other stitch up to 47 sts. I placed 7 button holes.

I have enough Lioness Arts MCN aran left to make a cowl for Alixe for the winter. Three skeins would be enough to make the full sweater with long sleeves.
