I’m reluctant to make cuff down socks. I can’t get the circle at the beginning tidy and I’ve never mastered the provisional cast on. However I was keen to try using beads.

Not happy with the “load the yarn up with required beads” option as the beads don’t stay put so next pair I will use the “add each bead as you go” style.

However the pattern is very nice but does require you to be familiar with heel flap and gusset shaping. It has references about length before starting toe shaping for medium or large but it doesn’t say what the length refers to.

So the pattern is ok if you’re an experienced sock knitter.

I also can’t help myself and made them k3 p2 rib in the body of the leg and top of the foot.
