Editing the pattern slightly, changing the neckline to a v-neck and will be adding a true smocking stitch to the sleeves.

Finished: worked collar and button-band as one, in 2x2 rib, adding 6 increases on each back neck edge, over entire width. Worked edging for approx. 3”.

Worked sleeves as written, but added alternating ‘true’ smock stitch along top seam (alternating 1 & 2 groups), 7 times, then increased out incrementally to finish with smocked stitching around entire cuff on last repeat. Also did not work extra length to allow for fold-back/down cuff.
