I cast on using the Alternative Long-tail Cast-on with size 6 needles for the cowl. Worked three rows of pattern then changed to size 5 needles for 3 repeats of the pattern. Then I worked the blossom chart from the Sprout Fingerless Mitts pattern that I am designing with permission from Jill Draper, to complement the cowl. The mitts pattern is currently available now..
