Yet another Xmas present-to-be started in mid-December. Because I’m a masochist, apparently.

In any case: This is a wee sweater for my co-worker’s fashionable little mutt, Merlin. Rough measurements obtained in secret by her boyfriend, who does not own any sort of measuring implement and guess-timated Merlin’s shoulder-to-shoulder (across the back) width at 8” and length at 15”. My gauge over a 4” swatch is 18 stitches, so I cast on 36 stitches. (The pattern recommends reducing by two inches to allow for stretch, but, since said boyfriend’s measurements are rough, I’m erring on the side of caution.)

Reluctantly modeled by my cat, who was later forced to model the matching beret. I make no apologies.
