The sibling (aka “Monkey”) has held rank as Recipient of Most Knitted Gifties ever since I first picked up the needles. Swears she, this shawl is the “best thing” that I’ve ever knit and her absolute favorite, by leaps and measures. So…there’s that.

This was the second Summer Flies that I knit/gifted during Xmas 2010. Cotton Classic is a sturdy cotton yarn, so the the result is less silky-flowy than your typical shawl…but I kind of prefer it this way on account of the dress-it-up/dress-it-down versatility.
