The Pound of Love yarn is a lighter weight worsted that gives a more compact gauge than other worsted weight yarns I have used to make this pattern. Knitting it on a size 7 needle gave me a nice fabric, but a very small glove. Going up in needle size to compensate did not appeal to me as I felt the resulting fabric would be too loose and sloppy looking, so I adjusted the pattern instead.

I cast on an extra 24 stitches, which is enough for two extra ruffles at the cuff. Once all the decreases have been made this leaves 8 extra stitches for the remainder of the glove. I used Magic Loop, so that meant 4 extra stitches per side of my loop. I adjusted the remainder of the pattern to accommodate the additional stitches.

I did not change the number of increase rounds for the thumb gusset, but when placing the thumb stitches on waste yarn I included two extra stitches (one more at either end outside of the increase section) to ensure enough room in the thumb. I did not add any extra rows to the cuff section, but I did add one round to the thumb and two rounds to the fingers to compensate for the gauge difference.
