This blanket was knit on US size 9 needles. I used a US size 10 for all the bind offs.

I picked up my stitches a little differently than suggested in the pattern. Along a cast-off edge I picked up through only the front leg of the cast-off stitch rather than both legs of the stitch. It makes for a slightly flatter ridge on the Wrong Side. Along the sides of the garter stitch I pick up my stitches in the ridge bumps along the edge rather than between the ridges. The count is exact this way (no fudging necessary).

Making this blanket reinforced for me yet again how much I hate seaming. If I make it again I will probably choose to join the blocks using a three needle bind-off instead. It’s faster, easier (especially with black) and looks neater on the Wrong Side. (At least it does when I do it.)
