I was designing the beanie as I knitted it, so I had to rip parts out to re-do a couple times, but the finished product is genuinely appreciated and has already been used by its recipient on numerous occasions. It was the first time I ever knitted something for my dad in 11 years (!!) so I’m glad this worked out. Shoutout to Ruth for some excellent design suggestions--that double brim is essential!

And goodness gracious, I LOVE the yarn. And a good thing, too; I took serious pains to come up with a good color. I think I have enough left over to make myself a little something ;)

All in all it’s a big thumbs up!
